Yes it was horrible and yes it was hard to look from quite afar specially in the other parts of Singapore. So how did it happen?.... Well I heard that there was some sort of "Illegal forest burning" in Indonesia for this oil plant or something?
(for further details http://www.scotsman.com/news/international/singapore-smog-fears-as-indonesia-s-forests-burn-1-2972653)
And well as the forest burning happened... the wind kinda blew the smoke here (Singapore), Malaysia and I think some parts of Indonesia too.
Since my school wasn't cancelled as holidays' had just ended, the school provided some basic masks.
Yeah the picture on the right was a photo taken on an overhead bridge on my way home from school.
I think it was the next day from which this photo was taken where it reached a PSI reading of 400+? but I am not so sure if that was a 100% true.... but when I woke up and opened my door.... you could already smell the haze.... and by looking at the window everything was just WHITE.
Of course a few days later, it started to calm down.
This experience really showed me that a lot of people really complain about the smallest details of things... people arguing, blaming, etc.... yes I felt as if everyone's getting mad and all. People(the government people) are trying to do something but just because the rest of the people don't see it, they shouldn't just keep blaming..like out of nowhere some people just started blaming the smokers or the fact that students demanded to have no classes... they should either do and help out what ever could be done or just please "ignore the haze if you don't wanna do anything about it"..... yeah this is coming from a person so tired of people complaining and what not.
Oh great now I am complaining about people who complain.... WHYYYYY?!?!?!
Okay enough about the haze..... My weekends were AWESOMEEEEEE!!! For the first time in my like what 1+ year of staying here in Singapore, last Sunday was the first time I went to USS and rode the rides and whatever tourists do there...pictures/blablabla....
After church, I went there with the two lovely and crazy Gurtiza sisters. I met some people who were supposed to portray some movie/fairytale characters, went on a real outdoor roller coaster and drank a slushy!!!
OMG!!! I totally forgot.... Happy Belated Fathers' Day to my PAPA!!!.... haha, sorry its so late I know it was like 2 sudays' ago but I was a bit busy preparing for my exams as they were about to start.
"PAPA!!!!!!!!!! You have been a wonderful father to us, you really do things that you think is best for us.
When it comes to arguing with you I might be really annoying because
you seem to be always right whenever I'm against it and the fact that kame nila ate, we may neglect a lot but we're teenagers/young adults....theres like hormones all over the place. So sorry if things like that happen again in the future.
Don't forget that you have raised us 3 girls really well with mama.... to come to think of it.... 1 engineer, 1 designer.... and 1 na hinde pa po sure kung anong gustong maging. I would say na it really took life's dedication to raise us as a father. I mean ate Karen and ate Kresta, THEY HAVE GRADUATED and now paying bills on their own.... and I will too pretty soon!! (diba po? heheh...)
Well, don't forget that kahit na malalayo po tayong lahat and all the troubles that may happen in the future might be painful.... we are still and always sana a bonded loving family, no matter what happens.
Thank you rin po for allowing me to study here in Singapore!!! Because that was one of my many goals in life....so I will make it worth it!!
LOVE YOU PAPA!!!!!
